This book commemorates the 100th anniversary of the Triangle Factory Shirtwaist Fire, which due to unsafe working conditions resulted in the death of 150 women and girls. In order to read the book, the reader must unclasp a match from a sandpaper cover therefore implicating himself in the actions that unfold in the narrative. The book combines newspaper articles from the Fire with fragments of text taken from garment workers' diaries. The text was sewn on to handmade sandragraph prints made from textile fragments.
