kozuke paper, black cotton thread, inkjet printed, white waxed thread
This miniature artist's book contemplates the line between what's public and what's private, and what happens when you make a decision that you can't take back. Will the choice be worthwhile? What is sacrificed? What is gained? While reading the language in the book, the reader is continually taunted to rip open the seams and the trailing threads in order to access more information. It's up to you which step you take, and if you trust the language on the page.
Trust / Taunt is inkjet printed on cream kozuke paper, which has a very tactile feel. Combined with the trailing threads, and the hand sewn spine, the whole book invites touch and engagement from the reader. The page edges are sewn on a brother sewing machine with black cotton thread.
